The Mercedes-Benz Electric Commercial Vehicles event transformed Atelier Gardens – a former film dubbing studio – into an innovative conference environment with parallel panel discussions. The central challenge: enabling several hundred participants to attend different sessions simultaneously without acoustic interference.

The solution lay in multiple room-within-a-room installations within a large hall. Each session was given its own visually defined zone by neon LED light sculptures in different color spectra (cyan, pink, orange). Participants used silent conferencing headphone systems with multiple audio channels, allowing them to switch between sessions simply by changing the channel on their headphones and moving to a different zone.

Technically, this meant separate microphone setups and audio mixers for each panel, a wireless headphone infrastructure for over 500 participants with battery management, and visual guidance systems that functioned without signage – the color of the light indicated the audio channel. In addition, vehicle display areas and networking lounges were integrated.

Innovative silent conferencing room-within-a-room architecture. The technical complexity lay in the simultaneous coordination of multiple audio streams, the visual zoning without physical walls, and the seamless user experience when switching channels. Each "room" structure required no neon lighting signature. Noise-canceling microphone arrays ensured clear transmission despite the open hall layout, and line-of-sight management prevented panels from visually interfering with each other.

The result: Parallel content tracks in a single space, without acoustic or visual conflicts.
