PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Mercedes-Benz electric commercial vehicles event transformed the Atelier Gardens – a former film dubbing studio – into an innovative conference environment with parallel panel discussions. The central challenge: Several hundred participants should be able to attend different sessions simultaneously without acoustic interference.
The solution lay in multiple room-within-room installations within a large hall. Each session received its own visually defined zone through neon LED light sculptures in different color spectrums (cyan, pink, orange). Participants used silent conferencing headphone systems with multiple audio channels – allowing them to switch between sessions simply by changing the channel on their headphones and moving to another zone.
Technically, this meant: Separate microphone setups and audio mixers for each panel, wireless headphone infrastructure for 500+ participants with battery management, as well as visual guidance systems that functioned without signage – the light color signaled the audio channel. Additionally, vehicle display areas and networking lounges were integrated.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Innovative silent conferencing room-within-room architecture. The technical complexity lay in simultaneous coordination of multiple audio streams, visual zoning without physical walls, and seamless user experience when switching channels. Each "room" construction needed its own neon light signature, microphone arrays with noise cancellation for clear transmission despite the open hall situation, and sightline management so panels didn't visually interfere with each other.
The result: Parallel content tracks in one space, without acoustic or visual conflicts.
